Sports Day bento

Unfortunately a typhoon hit at lunchtime which ended Sports Day prematurely, but I still got to eat the special bento and didn't have to listen to the PTA speeches. All in all it was a good day and the teachers were much more relaxed and enjoying themselves, which eased the blow of working on a Sunday.

There were 3 teams: K, (purple) J (red) and Y (white) - each team performed a special dance that they had choreographed and were scored by the PTA.

Sports Day at Jumonji

I love my new rice cooker

It bakes cakes! The sponge is light and chewy due to the steaming process but it's cake nonetheless. This was the preliminary (banana cake) and I'm looking forward to a newly discovered weekend breakfast.

Conversation class

This is my new conversation class, they threw a party to welcome me on board and say sayonara to Mike.
